Monday, 28 September, 8:00 pm

Join the OU Politics, Policy and International Relations Society (PIPS) for a discussion with guest speaker Dr. Simon Usherwood, Professor of Politics & International Studies at The Open University. The session will explore contemporary British and European politics, including Brexit and the evolving UK-EU relationship, alongside insights into academic research, public engagement, and professional development opportunities for politics students. The event will include a short presentation, followed by an interactive Q&A and discussion.

Sunday, 18 October, 6:00 pm

The Open University Politics, International Relations, and Policy Society (PIPS) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18 October at 6:00 pm. This is an important opportunity for all members to come together, reflect on the society’s achievements over the past year, and help shape its future.

During the meeting, we will present and review our Annual Report, looking back at the events, activities, and progress made since the society’s launch. Members will also have the opportunity to elect the society’s officers and committee members for the coming year, including leadership and committee positions that will help guide the society’s direction.

In addition, we will discuss our plans and ambitions for the year ahead, including ideas for events, guest speakers, campaigns, and ways to grow and strengthen our community. Whether you are interested in standing for a committee position or simply want to have a say in the society’s future, all members are encouraged to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there and hearing your ideas for the next chapter of PIPS.
