The Open University Politics, International Relations, and Policy Society (PIPS) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18 October at 6:00 pm. This is an important opportunity for all members to come together, reflect on the society’s achievements over the past year, and help shape its future.
During the meeting, we will present and review our Annual Report, looking back at the events, activities, and progress made since the society’s launch. Members will also have the opportunity to elect the society’s officers and committee members for the coming year, including leadership and committee positions that will help guide the society’s direction.
We will also discuss our plans and ambitions for the year ahead, including ideas for events, guest speakers, campaigns, and ways to grow and strengthen our community. Whether you are interested in standing for a committee position or want to have a say in the society’s future, all members are encouraged to attend.
We look forward to seeing you there and hearing your ideas for the next chapter of PIPS.

Stand for our Committee
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 18 October, where all committee positions will be open for election. Current committee members may stand for re-election, and all members are encouraged to consider standing.
Being part of the committee is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain practical experience, build professional networks, and play a key role in shaping the future of OU PIPS.
As a growing society, this is your chance to step in, take ownership, and help shape what we become over the next year. We are entering an exciting phase. After a successful year of building the society and delivering our first major event programme, we are now focused on expansion, visibility, and long-term impact.
